‘Als ich can’ was de spreuk die de schilder Jan van Eyck op de lijsten van meerdere van zijn meesterwerken aanbracht.
In het kader van het Van Eyck jaar, brengt P/ROPS (performance art/open, project, space) op vraag van Eddy De Buf enkele kunstenaars samen te BLANCO Gent.
Deze lijfspreuk ‘Als ich can’ wijst op een kunde en onkunde binnen een creatieproces.

P/ROPS ijvert voor een grotere bekendmaking van performance + art en wil het medium op de kaart zetten als een volwaardig artistiek medium.
In 2015 startte sabine oosterlynck, een privé performance + art platform te Gent, genaamd P/ROPS (performance art, research, open project, space). Het platform heeft als doel de performatieve aspecten in de beeldende kunst rechtstreeks, dit is live, of via objecten, kunstwerken, boeken, tekst, afbeeldingen, video’s en andere residuen onder de aandacht te brengen en beoogt performance kunstenaars, academici en liefhebbers bijeen te brengen om zo object gerelateerde performance art en hedendaagse kunst te promoten.
